Movement (as well as art and design) has always been a passion of mine from the day I can remember. I’m passionate about moving well and learning different ways to move better – with more ease and unnecessary tension.
I’ve always looked for ways to improve my wellbeing, be it the food I consume to the movements I embody as ‘we are how we move’.
These passions have led me to continuously study the human body/mind interface and how we can improve our sensory awareness of our movement patterns. I’ve been practicing Pilates since 2002 and teaching professionally since 2007.
My work has been informed by other somatic movement modalities (Franklin Method, Feldenkrais, Continuum Movement) which I find a productive complement to the Pilates Method. I completed the Anatomy Trains Myofascial Meridians in 2008 with James Earls and studied my Fascial Fitness Training directly with Thomas Myers (The author of Anatomy Trains) and Dr. Robert Schleip, both of whose work greatly influences my practice.
I did my full Pilates certification with Australian Pilates Method Association (APMA) 2007.
I regularly attend courses, workshops, conferences and complete online courses to keep myself updated and to find ways to better serve you. See Training page for more information.
